Whale Watching (June to October)
The waters of the Gulf of Chiriqui National Marine Park become a nursery for mother humpback whales and their calves who visit us every year from June to October, providing the unique opportunity to observe this mighty creatures at a close but safe distance.
Dolphins and turtles are also a common sight, there is abundant marine wildlife both in the ocean as well as in the islands, where you can go hiking, swim, snorkel or even do some rock fishing.
Mangrove Kayaking
There are many ways to explore the mangrove forest. Kayaking might just be the one for you.
Marvel at the magnificence of the mangrove forest, so lush and green, the hanging roots of the trees create an intrincate labyrinth where young fish take shelter from the bigger predators in the open waters.
Glide along with the tide as howler monkeys stare from above and white ibises fly from the flats to the tree tops.
Turtles, iguanas, crabs, racoons, kingfishers and tiger herons are common sights.
This is a truly mind relaxing way to excercise your body and feel the true nature contact.
